Chief Donovan Fisher shared a condolence on behalf of the Nelson office community, saying Nelson is one of the most negligible municipal Police forces in Canada, and we are like one big family. The impact of the death of Constable Tittemore has a profound effect on the force and our community.” “Our deepest condolences go out to his family.”
Chief officer Fisher said that “Wade was a true gentleman” “He knew how to deal with situations when he needed to, but 99 percent of the time, his soft-spoken gentleman approach dealt with any issues that we had to deal with in public.”
Four people staying at the cabin discovered the body of two officers; they mentioned it might have happened at noon.
Nolet was rescued by keeping his arm above the snow line, but another officer was dragged further down the mountain and was found underneath two meters of snow.
