Two families mourned the deaths of a 30-year-old pregnant woman and a 35-year-old father who did not know each other Friday night at a Broward County supermarket.
Broward Sheriff’s Department detectives said Delana James and Davon Johnson were shot dead outside a Pompano Beach convenience store around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Surveillance video shows Johnson crashing the car. BSO representatives said the Pompano Beach Fire and Rescue Team transported an injured man and a teenage boy to Broward Health North.
Johnson’s mother told viewers her son suffered four head injuries.
Grieving family members, including Johnson’s children and widow, stood near a candle during an all-night prayer in the convenience store parking lot.
“Too many lives have been lost,” he said. “We pray that whoever you are, whether it be one or two, your conscience will not let you go to bed again, and God will ask you to surrender yourself.”

Damian Shulman, 18, who was 17 at the time of the incident, has been taken into custody, Broward Sheriff Gregory Toney announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
